Give Mom a Break

I remember when I was about to give birth to my first child I had this urgent need to clean. Some experts call it the nesting instinct. And that's what I did, I got a sponge in one hand and a bucket of soapy water in another and started scrubbing the walls of the room where my baby was going to stay. This while being 9 months pregnant and with placenta previa. And so the inevitable happened, I got a little spotting and scared the beegezus out of myself and my husband.

And so we started to consider maid services that I read about in expat forums. Basically a team of cleaners goes to your house and cleans it. Magical words to all moms out there. I've head that Gelli de Belen regularly uses this kind of service to get rid of mites in her household.
