Maria Montessori School of Quezon City

I admit that I have a few bones to pick with some teachers but all in all, they do their best to try and uphold what is right (even though it is sometimes wrong). I've stayed in this school since 1999 and I don't regret it. Sure some teachers are quite scary while others scold the students for the wrong reasons, but c'mon! We're all human here! I appreciate that the teachers are also trying to impart lessons that will help us not only academically but also in life (although they could be a LITTLE more lenient with the whole "speak english" thing. XD). I try my best to not hold grudges at my teachers because without them, I'd be an ingrate like SOME people here. So if you're going to bad mouth my (technically OUR) school, you're gonna have to go through us first!

Ang kakapal naman ng mukha ng mga nagpost dito ng mga ganyang comment.Eh kung kayo kaya husgahan namin, magugustuhan niyo? Pano kung may makakita dito na mula sa Admin ng schoo? Pano kung makita kayo ni T.Cherry. Delete niyo na to kasi wala naman itong silbi eh. Kung tutuusin, galing din naman kayo din dito eh. Edi linalait niyo lang sarili niyo! Common Sense naman!

Nothing is perfect and the same can be said about MMSQC. Sure, there are some cons about the school like the expensive fees, but after it's all been said and done it's ultimately worth it. The teachers are kind, caring and are just plain good at teaching. They want you to succeed in life and always try to help you as much as possible. It has a great environment with a very friendly atmosphere.While the facilities are clean and safe. Though I'm pretty sure that some might disagree but I can say with pride that MMSQC changed my life for the better and I wouldn't want it any other way.

I disagree with what anonymous said our school doesn't have a low quality of lessons can you imagine 1st year students are already learning Covalent Bonding,Ionic Bonding and other Chemistry lessons.Chemistry is for 3rd years right?

1) teachers. ang laking factor ng teachers, sila un magmomotivate sa student na mag-aral. magbibigay ng self-confidence sa kanila especially kung elementary ka pa lang at wala pa mashadong alam sa buhay.
- please kung meron mang taga montessori dito na admin na makakabasa nito, please train niyo naman po ng maayos ung mga teachers niyo, ang mahal mahal ng tuition fee tapos parang ewan lang magturo, bigay ng assignment tapos hindi ituturo kung paano sasagutan.. magpaparecitation, hindi naman nagtuturo. sagutan un book, ndi naman eexplain kung paano.. sayang naman.
isa pa. sana wag din sana nangpapahiya ung mga teachers jan, na experience ko kasi dati nung elementary ako ung teacher, pinahiya un new student from ateneo, kasi ndi mashadong magaling. dinig sa buong floor un boses nung lalaking teacher ko, buti na nga lang un pinahiya nia e malakas ang loob at hindi na trauma. ikaw ba naman sabihan na pinapahiya mo un ateneo (dati niyang school) na dinig ng buong 3rd floor e. napaka unprofessional lang. oo hindi ko to nasabi noon dahil sympre natakot ako, at bata pa ako non. pero hanggang ngayon alalang alala ko pa. teacher cyrene.
meron pa, un classmate ko sinabihan siya ni teacher harry na hindi na siya kailan pang gagaling sa math, nung maghighschool aba henyo na sa math. o dba, dapat ndi nia sinabi un, eh pano kung hindi namotivate un bata at lalo pang na down?!
teacher alona, hindi naniniwala sa student na magaling siya, akalain mong pinagisipan pa niyang nangopya un student.. (ako un) hindi totoong nangopya ako past-present-future tense lang un topic madali lang pagbintangan daw ba ako.
teacher jean, nagalit dahil napagalitan ung top student niya dahil saken, kasalanan naman nung student (bias lang)

basta para sa akin, kahit na dito ako grumaduate, alam ko na mas magiging maayos ang elem life ko kung sa iba ako nag elem. =)

I'm a Highschool junior in MMSQC. I've been studying there since 5th grade.
Aminin ko, na shock ako sa environment pagdating dun. Lalo na sa practical life area. Ang mga bata, natutong maglinis ng sariling pinagkalat-an. Natutong magwalis, mapunas ng tables, mag scrape sa kiosk. Things na usually wala sa ibang school. Though mahal ang tuition at galing sa mayayamang pamilya ang estudyante kadalasan sa MMSQC, pinahahalagahan ng directress namin ang pratcical life area. Ayaw niyang lumaking dependent masyado sa yaya ang mga students.
Now when it comes to education, totoo, mas advance ang ibang schools. Pero it doesn't mean na huli kami. Nabasa ko po yung comment na "They don't teach from the book, they teach from the heart." That's true.
Sa education sa elementary, i don't know what to say talaga kasi Grade 5 lang po ako nag-start. Kung icocompare sa iba mas advance talaga yung ibang schools. Kaya I'm not that confident before kung maipapasa ko ang Philippine Science. Ayun, hindi nga ako nakapasa. Kasi hindi ko sineryoso, because I don't want to leave my school. And I have batchmates na sa Science Highschools na nag-aarala ngayon! :D In Highschool, wala akong masasabi. when I reached highschool, I know na kaya ko ng makipagsabayan. Magiging competitive na ang students. For me, everything is organized, matututo talaga sa teachers. Maliit ang school, pero you'll feel at home. And the school is very clean :)

Kanya kanyang opinion po yan. I'm not saying this para ma-convince kayo na ipasok sa Monte ang mga anak niyo, or to prove na mali yung ibang nakakasakit na comments. As a student, and as a Montessorian for 5 years, ito po ang masasabi ko sa napakagandang school ko. :)

I've been a part of this GREAT extra ordinary school, mind you the institution does not only mold the students in terms of acquiring knowledge (to be good in math, science and english). The truth is that most of the product here learns how to deal with the situations in life. The application of practical life and living is one of the most unique features of MMSQC. They are taught how to care for others,for themselves and for the environment as well. The essence of discipline which is respect has been time and time again emphasized to our students which makes them a better and competitive individuals. MMSQC might not be a perfect school but I can guarantee you that it is a school with a big heart and lots of pride. I will always stand up for the principles of this school which made me a better man and as a person.

I will not compare this school from other institutions as others are doing, I just want to voice out to all of you out there, that I, a former teacher in MMSQC for quite a number of years (I'm now working here in Qatar and is a recipient of Shell's Chief Executive Awards; the highest honor given to an individual or group) owe it to this school from where I am now. My dear co-teachers, parents, former students and students to be, MMSQC developed me to be a better person. Most of the things I'm doing here in my job, are the same things that our school trained & taught me. MMSQC is a near perfect training ground not only for students but for teachers alike. Once my contract is finished, the first thing I'll do is to thank the management, staff and teachers and share to them what MMSQC has done to me and to my family.

its not enough to judge a school by one's opinion since it is a well known fact that an opinion will always be an opinion, it may be a fact or just a lie. I'm a fresh graduate from Maria Montessori School Of Quezon City and now I'm studying in the University Of Santo Tomas with the college course of BS Computer Science. I've studied in MMSQC ever since. I've seen it grow and all I can say is, it's one of the best school ever. Teachers here may not be as great as of those in science highschool but what I like about the teachers here is that they listen to their students. A teacher is a person who teaches a student and stands as a student's second parent. I also would like to point out that teachers here are patient and doesn't get irritated easily. Yes, you may say that our school isn't that great but for us, we enjoyed our stay in this school since the faculty really does it job and makes us feel as if we are family. This school also has a good support staff. CLEANLINESS for this school is a MUST! Clean restrooms, clean corridors, and clean classrooms. The rooms are air-conditioned making a student comfortable in his place of learning. Let me point out again that the faculty listens to the students and also bonds with them. Seriously they even listen to family problems if a student is willing to share and gives them good advices. I won't degrade myself and compare this school to others and say that it's better, but may I please request for you people to act maturely. Intelligence isn't based upon the scores a person gets on exams or tests but on how he applies what he has learned. I can't compare myself to our batch valedictorian, who got a medal from the President Gloria Arroyo, but atleast i can par myself with her on her opinion about what you have said about our alma mater. mmsqc is my 2nd school, this is where i had my high school years. all i can say is that i really had fun in this school, compared to my previous school, this has clean facilities, but somehow i do agree with some who are saying that the education system is poor. honestly speaking, its easy to cheat for some reasons, but still, they know how teach students for practical life, i'm very proud that this is my alma mater, i'm currently studying for a college degree and of course in a new school, i can compare that the facilities of montessori are way better than my school now.

this school is a great school they teach my son carlos de martin well i remeber the teacher who teach my son i t.jobert , t.amy , and lastly t.JL last time my son dont want to go to school , to study .. but when this t.JL came to my sons life it changes everything .. he become an honor student , and most of all he want to study more . thank god -ps-

I must say to the person that commented that students from MMSQC are now studying at UP Diliman, UST, Ateneo, DLSU, etc. You see how the teachers teach their very best? They teach not from the book, but from the heart.

sabi nga ng teacher koh dis year "kung gusto may paraan kung ayaw maraming dahilan"...siguro yung anak mo madaming dahilan pero yung school namin walang dahilan at gusto magturo sa mga bata na gusto rin mag-aral...ok?!?....

hi hello i'm a junior student in mmscq right now school year 09-10 and what i think about my school is awesome. clean facilities clean food and most especially good teachers p.s even a chef is in charge of cooking the food not a cook lol! and what i see in other comments are not true (yea not true) kasi nasa student ang gawa kung gusto mo talaga matutu matuto ka it is not the fault of the school kung bumagsak ka its the fault of the student because the teacher is only the one who teaches and the student so the student should listen to the teacher so he/she will not have failing marks and above standard pa nga ung grading system nila ehh this is what makes it hard for me lol! kung ung passing nila sa other school 50% dito 60% that is what makes it hard and super friendly pa ung teachers you really feel na they are you second mother and yes sky-high tuition fee nga atleats ginagamit nila sa tama sobrang lamig ng mga classroom good for learing bagong pa lagi friendly janitors and strict guards tapos hindi bulok! sa iba nga mura nga bulok! naman nabubulok na ung mga bubong tumutulo na kulang sa upuan kulang sa computer set dito complete with a flat screen monitor and soon to have internet connection sa iba ung mga computer nila mga 90' pa ata un ginagamit dito hinde and here may clinic na malinis sa iba wala pa at ung cr dito sobrang linis sa iba kulang nalang sa sahig na magkalat ng ebak (sorry for the faul language pero its true naman) kaya ang mmsqc love ng lahat WE MONTESSORI WE ARE NOT ORDINARY! TEACHERS ENEMY #1 BARz
